MASONIC BALL
The Masonic ball, held in tbe_ Early Settlers’ and Pioneer Halls on'Wednesday evening, was a distinct success, over 160 couples being present. The bolls were prettily decorated for the. occasion; excellent music was provided by the Savonian Dance Band and Hogg s Sound system. Mr G. Z. Lindley and Mrs Digby Smith led off the Grand March, which was one of the features of the programme, and when completed represented the Masonic emblem. Iwo lucky spot dances were held, Mesdames ,1. Smith and B. M'Leod being the winners, these, ladies receiving handsome prizes. Great praise is due to Mr K. Cameron and his energetic committee for the very capable manner in which they combined to make the ball such a success. Among others present were Mesdames F. J.
