Lancashire and Yorkshire Association. The monthly social of the Lancashire ami Yorkshire Association was held m the Unity Chambers on Saturday, June 9. In spite of wintry weather condi. tions there was a large attendance cf members and their friends. The president (Mr A. Pemberton) occupied the chair and welcomed the members of the Toe H. concert party, who, assisted by Mr Freeman (tap dancer), provided the evening’s programme. The various items wore greatly appreciated by the audience, and the artists were accorded a very hearty vote of thanks for so willingly contributing to the evening’s entertainment. Supper was served, and the remaining time was spent in dancing. A pleasant little event took place last month, when the executive were the recipients of the honour board <f the first Lancashire and Yorkshire Society in Dunedin.
