OBITUARY
MR J. HENDRY After an illness that originated a year ago, but had actually laid him aside for only nine weeks, Mr James Hendry, died yesterday at his residence in Leith street, aged 79. He came out -from Morayshire with his father, Mr James Hendry, sen., in 1878, and a few years later they opened the tailoring business of James Hendry and Son, the firm having an extensive connection for oyer forty years. The subject of this notice never aspired to public positions, but ho took a keen interest in the trade organisations, and his. practical mind made him useful in many ways. Apart from business, he took a delight in gardening and angling. His wife died two years ago. One sou survives, Mr George Hendry. The funeral was at the Northern Cemetery yesterday afternoon. Many .citizens attended to pay, respect to the memory of a very worthy, man.
