Sir Kingsley Wood (Postmaster-Gen-eral), in a speech at the Advertising Association convention at Leicester, said that much of the Post Office’s recent record increase in business was due to extensive and consistent advertising. They would again fully utilise the valuable medium of newspaper advertising in connection with the new telephone drive. The Post Office found that the public did read advertisements and assimilate their contents.
