OUTBREAK AT ST. KiLDA MAN SEVERELY BURNT. Frees Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, December 27. Fire occurred in a large residential area of St. Kilda to-day and destroyed fourteen of the thirty-two flats known as the Florida Flats. There were several thrilling rescues, by the firemen, who brought out a number of women. They found Clive Delaney groping his way through the smoke at the top of a staircase, and sent him down the fire escape, but not before he had been severely burnt on the face and the arms. He was sent to hospital. .
