- DETECTIVE . SHOT Pr«a .Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ZAGREB, December 36. - (Received December 28, at 1 a.m.) The bitterness between the Czechs and Serbs, which has increased greatly in the. past few weeks, was responsible for another crime last night, one of Serbia’s best-known detectives, Alfred Graner, being shot four times and seriously injured when he entered a cloakroom of ths Cafe Corso. Who fired the shots is still a mystery, as the assailant escaped in the excitement, and only the most vague clues were given to the police by waiters and guests.— Australian Press ; Association.
