Additional airplanes arrived at Peshawar bringing women and children from the Italian Legation at Kabul. (Received December 27, at 9.15 a.m.) The Afghan Legation announced that it had received a telegram from the Government of Afghanistan saying that complete calm prevailed at Kabul. The Ohouryant Tribe, one of the most important groups on whom the rebels relied, has submitted to the authority of the _ Government.—Australian Press Association.
