EVERYBODY’S AND KING EDWARD
‘ Hangman's House,’ Eox .l*’i Ims screen version of Donn Byrne's wicblydiscusscd novel, made under the direction of John lord, had its local premiere at Everybody’s and the King Edward Theatres last evening. Victor M'Laglen repeats his histrionic triumphs of ‘ What Price Glory,’ ‘ A Girl in Every Port,’ and ‘ Mother Machrec.’ In fact, lie surpasses the roles that made him famous, with his characterisation of Citizen Hogan, the avenging soldier of the Eoreign Legion in this gripping romance of Ireland. But M'Laglen is not the only actor in this production. June Collyor, Larry Kent, Earle Foxe, Hobart Boswortli, among others of this veritable all star cast, give performances that help make this production ono of the outstanding screen entertainments of the present season.
Tbo second attraction is ‘ Tho Heart of Maryland,’ tho pictnrisation of David Belaseo’s great Civil War melodrama. Dolores Costello has the featured role in this production, and is said to givo her best performance to date. Tbo supporting cast is splendid, and includes many well-known screen artists.
