MONEY FROM MOSCOW
FUNDS FOR RAILWAY STRIKE DELHI, February 28. Definite evidence of Soviet intrigue in India is furnished in the statement at the Indian Railway Federation meeting that a large sum was donated from Moscow to finance the recent Ben-gal-Magpur railway strike, when 15,000 workers were involved. The money was sent to Calcutta via the Deutsche Bank, Berlin, and the National City Bank, _ New_ York, but on the unauthorised instructions of a railwaymen’s union official the money was refunded, and Moscow was asked to be more careful when sending it in future.
