AMERICAN OIL SCANDALS
CONTEMPT OF COURT WASHINGTON, February 21. Mr Justice Siddons found Burns, his brother, Sinclair, and Day (a member of the Sinclair firm) guilty of contempt of court, and he will sentence them later. Defendants, it is believed, will immediately appeal to the United States Supreme Court if necessary, and this is expected to consume at least eighteen months. SENTENCES IMPOSED. WASHINGTON, February 21. Sinclair was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, Day to four months, and Burns to fifteen days. Burns’s brother was fined 100 dollars.
