VICTORIAN BOWLERS
SECOND MATCH IN DUNEDIN A visit to Hie Dunedin Green to see a demonstration of bowl-testing by Mr A. Scott (in the absence of Mr W. A. Scott), and a motor drive to Portobello occupied the time of the visiting Victorian bowlers yesterday morning. In the afternoon they were taken for a trip to Waitati. The Dunedin Centre looked after these entertainings.
At 6.30 the second match was played on the Caledonian Green. For an evening game twenty-one heads sufficed, and even with this limit the electric light had to be turned on at the finish. The Dunedin side won, the scores reading: 35-17 after the fifth head, 67-23 after the tenth head, 90-38 after the fifteenth head, and 121-70 at the end. Details:—
