UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE

THE PRiHGIPLE APPROVED CHRISTIAN COUNCIL CONVENES MEETING [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 17. The principle of unemployed insurance was approved by an overwhelming majority at a meeting of citizens and representatives of trade and business organisations convened by the Council of Christian Congregations. A motion was carried commending the unemployment problem to the serious consideration of the Government, and urging steps to be taken to introduce a National Unemployment Insurance Bill. A committee was appointed to advance the views expressed in the resolution.
