BURNS CLUB CONCERT
The Dunedin Burns Club held its monthly concert in the Early Settlers’ Hall last night before a large attendance. Mr T. Gilchrist, the president, referred to the success of the Burns anniversary celebrations, both musically and financially. The programme, which was of its usual bright and enjoyable nature, was as follows: —Bagpipe selection. Piper W. Budge; part song, ‘llka Blade o’ Grass,’ choir; song, ‘Annie Laurie,’ Mr Butler; song, ‘Wells o’ Wearie,' Mrs D. Carty; recitation, ‘ Mrs Cleary’s Country Visit.’ Miss Nanna Newey; song, ‘An Eriskay Love Lilt,' Miss M. Howden; patter sketch, Paul Reno and Sparks; part song, ‘Cam Ye by Athol,’ choir; national dance, Miss A. Kleski; song, ‘Hundred Pipers,’ Mr J. C. Clark; violin solo, ‘Hebridean Melody,’ Mr Roland Wat r son; song, ‘ Caller Ou,’ Miss M. Somer-r ville; song, ‘ The Lass I Left at Hame,’ Mr J. G. Davidson; part song, ’Ae Fond Kiss,’ choir. Mr F. C. Cooper was the musical director and Miss E. [Wright the accompanist.
