MOTOR RACING
[P-ek United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 5. Many motor curs which had been driven to the Muriwai beach races did not arrive back in Auckland untilafter midnight. The races passed off without a hitch. The chief event, tho New Zealand Motor Cuii, was again won by It. 8. Wilson, ol Auckland, in bis Statu, and the cup now' becomes his possession, he having won it lor three successive years. Hamilton, of Fairlie, was second in a Sunbeam, and Natrass third in a Mercer. The winner’s time was 55miu 54sec. . , _ The New Zealand Light Car Cup was won by Russell Taylor, ot Australia, in a Bugatti eight, Banc-hop (of Wellington) being second in a Parry Thomas, and Cutten (of Auckland) third in a Bugatti. , The open sprint handicap was won ny Cutten in a Miller Special, and he also won the open handicap. Curlett’s Chryslci annexed the allcomers’ handicap, and Hoyes Motors, Ltd.’s Buiek took the louring car handicap.
