.MAKING UP LEEWAY. (Official British News.) Press Association—By Wireless—Copyright. RUGBY, September 1-5. Although the exports of British coal arc still considerably below the prestrike figures, this' trade returns show that the leeway is being made up, and in the South American market the former position is said to have been regained. Large quantities are being sent to Germany, and the difficulties imposed by the import restrictions in France and Spain are being overcome. Shipments to Canada are also considerable. The production of coal in Britain is still about 20,1X1,000 tons annually below tho pre-war figures.
