A- good game of Association football should bo witnessed at Carisbrook, where tljp Canterbury and Otago representatives will meet in the final match for the F.A. trophy competition. Last year, when these team met in the round of matches at Christchurch, the Otago side proved victorious, but on this occasion they will have a much more difficult task, as Canterbury is a very strong combination, and after its draw with Auckland last week the Canterbury players are expected to make a. bold bid for supremacy. Numbered among the Aucklanders are some players who are noted for that tricky brilliance which never fails to give delight to football spectators. It is rather too much to expect that Otago will beat The visitors, but wbeu it is remembered that the local team includes M'Kewon, Oliver, Don Sullivan. Townsend, and Thomas, players worthy of a place in any provincial team, it can be surmised that the northerners will not have things all their own way. The niaiib will bo for the Northern Union Cup, which the Aucklanders have sportingly brought on tour with them.
