In replying to a question in the Federal House of Representatives, Mr Fisher said he was unable (o make a statement as to the Government's policy regarding reciprocity with New Zealand. Personally, he would not limit the negotiations between the two Governments. A MAD MALAY. • PERTH, July 17. A Malay ran amok on a pearling boat nt Carnarvon. He shot a man named HUTodii)i dead and wounded a policeman and another man. The Malay was eventually shot dead. FARMERS IN CONFERENCE, SYDNEY, July 17. The Farmers' Conference passed resolutions in favor of decentralisation by opening up new ports and connecting the railways, and protesting against the Government's land policy as being opposed to the best interests of the State. THE AUSTRALIAN~FLEET. MELBOURNE, July 37. The arrival of the warships Australia, Sydney, and Melbourne lias been further postponed. The transfer of the control of the Australian station to the Australian fleet unit lias been deferred till August. CENSURE MOTION DEFEATED. SYDNEY, July 18.
