HARBOR BOARD.
The adjourned meeting of the Harber Board mi held this afternoon; present—Means Beeves. Tewsley, Davie, D. Beid, and M'Kinnoa. The object of the meeting; was to receive supplementary tenders for the dredging of the channel without constructing a training wall. The Board went into committee, and the B*ckb. TA&T (Mr Gilliee) said he had forwarded letters to the contractors in accordance with the Board's instructions. The following were the tenders : David Proudfoot, L 89.250; James Mackay, L 95.000. Messrs Henderson and Fergus declined to tender. Mr BstD moved and Mr Davis seconded—" That Mr Frondfoot's tender be accepted, subject to re* vision of the specifications by the Colonial Engineer and to a deed being prepared by the solicitor (as in the case of the dredge contracts), guarding the in. terests of the Board, and stating explicitly the con. ditions to be performed by the Board and by the contractor respectively, with a view to prevent any future misunderstanding." On resuming, the motion was adopted. It was also agreed, on the motion of Mr Davis, seconded by Mr M'Kinhon, " That the Secretary be instructed to take Bteps to carry out the xesolu* tion.", .
