THE PRINCESS’S THEATRE.
This favorite place of amusement will be opened tins evening under the management of Mr George Darrell,*who with Mrs Darrell has returned to Dunedin after taking a tour in the Northern Provinecs. These sterling players intend to spare no effort to.make the ensuing season a successful one, and in addition to themselves we are promised introductions to some of the leading stars visiilng the neighboring Colonies. Mr Darrell will fully unfold his managerial programme this evening, when the performance will be under distinguished patronage. A strong bill has been provided for the occasion. The curtain will rise on the comedy “ The Darrells at Homo," which will be followed by “ The Eongh Diamond,'* the whole entertainment concluding with “The Taming of the Shrew.” Such a programme is an earnest of Mr Darrell's goodintentions for the future, and we expect to see the new regime inaugurated with a full house, notwithstanding the unfavorable weather.
