This was the first occasion on which the winner of the match fired with a carbine. Range prizes, for the match 200 yards, Lieut, Muir, Artillery; 300 yards, Vol M‘Donald, S.D.R.; 400 yards, Vol. Rankin, E.T.; 500 yards, v Lieut. M ‘Corkindale, O.R, FOURTH DAY. The firing was continued this morning, thirteen men firing for the Consolation Stakes during a heavy rain. The men left town by a special train at 4.30 a.m., and the match was concluded shortly after seven o’clock. Appended are the scores :

As all the short ranges are under water the Cadet Match has been postponed until Saturday.

Owing to the inclemency of the weather and the Association meeting not being concluded the parade and presentation of prizes fixed for to-morrow will not take place.
