CITY POLICE COURT.
Monday, Nqvember 27. (Before his Worship the Mayor and K. Ramsay, Esq., J.P's.) Trespass.-JohnVezey, fish-hawker, was charged on remand with being illegally on the premises of Mrs Kettle, Royal Terrace, at four o'clock on Friday morning.—Prisoner wished to prove an alibi, but a clear case was made out for the prosecution, and he was sent to gaol for a month. Drunkenness.—John Ewen.Wm. Taylor, James Kerse, and James Cooper were all discharged; James Lewis was fined ss, in default twenty-four hours' Robert Bremner, a young man, was charged with this offence.—Mr Ramsay thought that any publican who served a lad like accused with drink when he was in a state of intoxication deserved to lose his license.— Accused said that he got the drink at the Oriental Hotel, and Inspector Mallard stated his intention of proceeding against the licensee forthwith.—The accused was discharged.
