Wellington, October 9. His Excellency the Governor has been seriously ill for over a week, and though there is now a slight improvement he will be confined to his bed for a couple of weeks longer. G. E. Barton appeared before the Chief Justice this morning, but no conclusion was arrived at, the case being adjourned till tomorrow.
