MAIL ARRANGEMENTS.

Christchurch, April 6. The steamer Colima is to be towed to Port Chalmers to have her spare propeller shipped there. The agents of the Pacific Mail Company have received a telegram, stating that there is not the slightest doubt but that the new steamer Zealandia will come to Auckland and carry the outward mail in the place of the Colima. The Hon. Mr Gisborn, and Messrs Seed and Knowles, Commissioners appointed to make inquiries with a view to the consolidation of Provincial Departments when the Abolition Bill comes info force, concluded their duties at the Government Buildings yesterday, and will start overland for Dunedin today or to-morrow.
