Jaxdine, Bishop, and twenty-three in the steerage. For the Bluff—Three steerage.
TheN.Z.S.S. Company's steamer Wellington arrived with cargo and passengers at 8 this morning from Wellington and Lyttelton. Shis left Wellington at 4.30 p.m. on the 4th; arrived at Lyttelton at 10 a.m. on the sth; left again at 1,30 p,m,, and arrived as above. We thank Mr McCormick for report exchanges. During the Wellington's stay at Wellington she was hauled on to the patent slip and thoroughly scraped, cleaned, and painted. Messrs HTCeckan, Blackwood’s s.s. Alhambra arrived at 7 this morning from Melbourne, via West Coast and Northern Porta. While coining in to the railway pier, it being low tide, she took the ground, where she remained until 8.80. She left the Sandndge railway pier at 2.80 p.m. on the 22nd nit.: cleared the Heads at 6 p.m.; passed Kent’s Group at noon next day; experienced N. and N.E. winds, and arrived off Hokitika at 2.30 p.m. on the 28th ; ■ loft again at 6.30 p.m.; arrived on Qreymonth at 9 Prna.; left again at 12.30 pm. on the 29th: arrived at Nelson at 1 p.m. on the 30th; left again at 11.30 p.m.; arrived at Wellington at 3 p.m. on the 31st: remained there until 10 &.m. on tne 2nd ihst« f and a rtived at Lyttelton at 7 a.m. on the 3rd r left again at 3.30 p.m. on the 4th; at 8 p.m. met the s.s. Colima off Bank’s Peninsula, with her screw broken and under allsail, and took her in tow to Lyttelton, arriving there at 5.40 a.m. on the sth; left again at 6 a.m. and arrived as above. We thank Mr Gibbons, (purser) for report and exchanges. The Alhambra took her departure from the railway pier this afternoon for Melbourne, viathe Bluff.
