Now is the time to trim your grape vines. Of a dull Sunday| afternoon nothing relieves Ithe tnnui of the neighborhood more than to see a good man waltz out into the yard with a step-ladder on his back and a pair of shears in his hand, and get to work in the grape arbour. All hearts are enlivened by the spectacle of his industry, but when he misses his footing, goes crashing through the vines, and, hanging suspended to one of the slates by his trousers’ leg, commences shouting “ Help !” and “ Robinson Crusoe !” the excitement becomes intense.— Brooklyn ‘ Argus.’
