VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
Our volunteer reader may remember that some years ago the Scottish Company had a handsome Company Challenge Belt made, at a •ost of L3O. The belt was shot for three times • year, and was hold by the winner only until the following competition. Now that the Company has been disbanded, the question arose as to what is to be done with this belt; and at the meeting of the members of the Company last evening it was unanimously resolved to present It tothe lost captain of the Company, Mr J. M. Jamieson, in recognition of the many valuable services rendered by him to the Company from the date of the first meeting in Jnly 1863, until the disbanding of the Company. It was also resolved to have a ball during the present numto, and to have the belt presented during the evening.
