VITAL STATISTICS.
At Port Chalmers during the March quarter there were twenty-four births—viz., nine males ' And fifteen females—and seven death, five being •f ndults and two of children. Two of the ieathswere from typhus and typhoid fever. Eight marriage certificates were issued by the Registrar, and two couples married by him, he number of births, marriages, and deaths registered in the Dunedin district during the month ending March 31, together with those of the corresponding month last year, were tr .v 1575 - 1874.
