To the Editor. —Kindly grant space in your paper for an appeal to the benevolent in reference to the following most urgent case of distress: Mr Osborne, for many years resident in Port Chalmers, and stevedore, died yesterday morning, after a very short illness, leaving a widow and nine little ones totally unprovided for.
