CITY BATHS.
To the Editor. Sir, —I notice in last night's'issue of your paper Mr Walter's speech at* the Masonic Hall, wherein he says, now that the Corporation have bought the Waterworks, they will be able to build warm, cold, and shower baths in the centre of the town, and at nominal rates. Perhaps Mr Walter is not aware that there are at the present time, and have been these last ten years, warm, cold, and shower baths, with every convenience, at the nominal charge of Is, kept by those who pay for every drop of water they use to the Waterworks Company. If the public would support those several baths already established better, instead of only twice a week, they might fairly demand from the Corporation to build them mora baths. As for the centre part of the town, I am sure they could not be more central for the public convenience. If they would only build proper swimming baths for the season, I could quite agree with Mr Walter.—l am, &c, rk j- t, ,„ ONB WHO KNOWS. Dunedm, July 15. i
