VOLUNTEER MONEY.

To the Editor. Sir,— lt is now some six weeks or two months since this money was voted by the Provincial Council, and still there is no sign of the money being paid. On making inquiry at the Treasury, 1 am informed there are no instructions to pay it, and this may go on until the Council meets next year, if some further action is nob taken in the matter. If it is worth having, it ought to be looked after. The Volunteer officers are now the proper parties to see that the money is paid with as little delay as possible. Apologising for trespassing on your space,—l am, &c,, Volunteer. Dunedin, July 15.
