THE LICENSING LAW.
To the Editor. , Snt;—ln taking a walk to the Ocean Beach yesterday, with a friend, we called at the St. Kilda Hotel te have a glass of beer, but wore absolutely refused admittance. Can you inform me if the hotel-keeper is entitled to shut his door against all travellers on Sunday at any hour? L always understood, after service hours liberty was granted to supply the wants of passengers. , If the law be so stringent, perhaps the Provincial Council will in its wisdom see meet to relax it a small bit.—Yours &c., , Liberty. May 25, 1874. ;
