CRICKET.
THE CUP MATCHES. The match on Saturday was between the Merchants and Agents and the World, in which Considerable interest was manifested. The World were sent to the wickets first, and made 44, Godby, a hew player here, but a capital bat, with good hitting powers and a firm defence, being the only one who got into double figures. The Merchants obtained 45, Smith getting 14. The World’s second innings concluded for 97, of which number Godby obtained 62, and not out.
