Monday, July 14* (Before I. N. Watt, Esq., R.M.) SLAUGHTERING LICENSE, James Farquharson applied for a slaughtering license, which was objected to by the Inspector of Slaughter-houses. Mr D. Stewart appeared for the applicant. The inspector said that the yard was difficult of access, and almost impossible to get at for supervision in the winter time. There was nothing to object to in Mr Farquharson’s character. Mr Stewart urged that the yard having been previously licensed, It would be a great hard hip hot to continue the license, especially as expensive buildings Wete erected thereon, To which if;' was replied that the license was already withdrawn, and that suspicious characters were allowed to slaughter there.
