The amount of revenue received at the Cue* tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 448 8s 9d.
In wheat and flour there is little new to report, excepting that wheat has advanced to 5s for very prime lots. To this advance in wheat there has not been any change in the price of flour. An effort was made to fix the price at Ll2los for sacks and Ll3 for bags, but it failed through one of the millers not agreeing. Prices therefore remain as last quoted, Lll 10s and Ll2—excepting to regular customers the millers Slly are not selling. Oats are at 4s per , and it is probable that before another week there will be an advance on this rate. Oatmeal has a good trade inquiry at L2O. Barley is at 7s 6d for good malting, and 5s 6d to 6s for damaged. Pearl barley, L 33 ; potatoes, L 3; bran, L 3 5s ; pollard, L 5; hay, L 3; chaff, L 3 5s ; straw, L2. A. Although the market at present is very well stocked with fresh butter, there has been a considerable decrease in the quantity coming in.
