MAILS CLOSE.

Southland.— Per s.s. Wallabi, on Monday, May 26, at 6 a.m. Northern Ports of New Zealand.—Per s.s. Ladybird, on Tuesday, May 27, at 2 p.m. British mails via Suez will be despatched from this office on or about the 30th inst.

Monday, the 26th instant, being a holiday (Queen’s Birthday), all sub-office mails usually closed during that day will be closed in the morning at 6 o’clock. As there will be no delivery by lettercarriers or at the window during that day, the office will be open for delivery of correspondence from 7 to 8 o’clock this evening. AKOH. BAKK, Chief Postmaster.
