Tuesday, May 13. (Before Wm. Thomson, Esq., J.P., and John Drysdale, Esq., J.P.)

Wife Desertion. — Joseph Gibbs was brought up under warrant from Havelock, charged with deserting his wife and children, and was fined 20s, and ordered to support the three children now in the Benevolent Institution. His wife refused to go with him, and agreed to look after the youngest child herself.
