MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and G. Brodie, Esq., J. P.) DRUNK AND DISOREDRLV, Robert Dali more, for this offence, was lined 40s, or seven days’ imprisonment. — Jane Stewart, drunk and disorderly, 40s, or seven days. CHARGE OF STEALING FROM THK PERSON. Eliza George, alias Eliza Sayers, was charged with steding from the person of Robert Wade, while asleep in the Cricketers Arms Hotel. The evidence failed to prove the offence, and the case was dismissed. AN ABSCONDER. John Gatcly, charged with absconding from the Industrial School, being a third offence, was ordered to be whipped. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. The following lines were indict'd for offences against the bye-laws:—William Mcnzies, allowing a horse to wander, 3s (id and costs; James Wilson, allowing two herses to wander, 2s (Id each and costs ; Thomas Collins, for furious riding in the streets. IDs and costs ; Aiex. King, allowin',' two horses to wander on the Town Belt, 5s each and costs. ASSAULT. Henry M‘William was charged with assanl ing James Duncan. Neither complainant nor defendant appearing, the case was dismissed.
