This Day. The Waste Laud Board met this day. Present—The Commissioner of Waste Lands, Messrs Reid and Hughes. APPOINTMENTS. Messrs James Hugham and appointed Rangers for Hundreds ; and S. Shrimski was appointed auctioneer for lands to lie sold in Oamaru district. On J. Barnclough’s application for stone quarry reserve, block 7, Oamaru, it was resolved that the decision of last week be reversed—the westward portion only to be sold, and the eastward reserved for a public quarry. The upset prices of sections in Beaumont. .Macraes, and Bendigo were fixed —at Macraes, .3s per foot frontage ; in Beaumont or'Dunkeld, Lo per section ; at Bendigo, Lo per section. Permission was given to James Ellis to fence shingle reserve on section 47, block 7. Moeraki distric. Mr Walter Gibbs’ application for a site for a flax mill at Ak itore was declined, but permission was given to cut Hax, without exclusive privilege. The upset price of sections 70 and 71, block 1, Naseby, was tixed at Lo each. The sale of a site for a church at Naseby was agreed to, at the rate of Lo per quarteracre. Permission was given to G. G. Russell and Co. to cut Hax on bush reserve, block 0, Dunedin and East Taieri, with no exclusive privilege. On the application by the Forbury Park Company to purchase or lease the Sandhills, East Taieri district, it was resolved that the conditions of lease by approved by the Board. W. J. Barry applied for 100 acres of land at Rocky Point, on lease, and was referred to the Warden. On the report of Warden Simpson, sections 24, 33, and 34, block 8, Clarendon, were ordered to be withdrawn and sokl as Iqnds of special value. Upset price. 2lsran acre. The price of section at was fixed at LI an 'acre. An annual license was"agreed to for David Lyall to make bricks on sections 3 and 4, Wakatipu district, at a 1 rent of LI per annum for two acres.
