MEETING AT ST JOSEPH’S SCHOOL.
( To the Editor of the Eveninq Star.) Sib, —I was not a little surprised to find that a report of the above meeting did not appear in the Daily V imett, though a gentleman connected with the reporting staff of that paper was present and took notes of the proceedings, which I must say were conducted in a very respectable manner. Without at all imputing improper motives for this omission, as the question at issue was, of paramount importance to the parents of children attending St. Joseph’s school, I cannot perceive how a matter of such .public interest should be quietly shelved, to the detriment of those concerned. In conclusion I must protest against the remarks of our, need I say deservedly, respected pastor, namely, that there \yas not a respectable person at .the meeting above referred to'. As this remark speaks for itself, I will therefore leave the matter to the consideration of the public to shew how a Christian minister designates his best supporters.—l am, &c., EX. Kxlmobe.
