FLOWER DAY RETURNS
TAKINGS OF THE STANDS
The total proceeds of Flower Day, held last Friday, in aid of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Fund, amounted.to £736 16s 9d.
The takings of the stands were as follows:—Railway Station, boxes, £34 Os lid; Bowen Street boxes, £45 7s ll^d; W.F.C.A. boxes, £87 Is lid; Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., boxes, £38 13s 9d; Kelburn Avenue boxes, £37 2 S B^d; T. and G. Corner boxes, £46 2s sid; G.P.O. boxes, £49 19s s£d; Stewart Dawson's Corner boxes, £ 104 17s lOd; St. George Hotel.boxes. £79 3s 4£d; James -Smith's ■ Corner boxes, £34 17s 6d; Courtenay Place Tram Stop boxes, £64 5s ljd; National Bank,

Improved lighting is to be installed in Sunshine and Miramar Avenues, Southampton Road, -Zetland Street, Ardross Avenue, and South Karori Road.
A new street formed 'in ; connection with- the- subdiyisiorj at . Homewood Avenue'has been named Bristow. Place.,
