CHRISTCHURCH, October 16.
The professional, wrestling match ber tween Earl McCready (17st 21b) and John Katan (16st 101b), ended in h draw, with each apparently ,too groggy, in the eighth round, after several minutes of elbow jolting, to gain- the decision. McCready thus retains his British Empire title.
Katan attacked throughout the first six rounds, which, lacked both .the clown)ing and showmanship of many matches, while McCready spent most of .the time getting., out; of. trouble. Both the seventh and eighth', rounds were mainly confined to, jolting .and punching, ending with .both m2n falling out oif the ring at the end of the eighth. There were^ no, falls. . . - '
