SEASON OPENS

OARSMEN CELEBRATE AT

DANCE

As usual, the Star Boating Club followed the opening of the rowing season with a most successful dance in their clubhouse in the evening. Although a large number of members, including the club captain. Lieutenant C. A. Hosking, are now on military service, many were able to obtain leave, and the uniforms of the three services were prominent among the dancers. Many old members and their friends who attended the opening function in the afternoon were again present in the evening.

The committee responsible was Messrs. A. Lowe. L. L. Tapp, W. L. Young, J. Moleta, A. Orr, J. Ashby. and G. Turner, and among the dancers were Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Lowe.
