SIR HARRY BATTERBEE ENTERTAINS
Sir Harry" B'atterbee, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, invited to his home recently several people interested in British documentary and educational ' films. , Sir Harry^.who is particularly enthusiastic, about the possibilities in the' Dominion "'■ of 'documentary films . illustrating . various phasesi.of life and work in the/Mother Country, screened for his guests on a private projector a variety of interesting- subjects, ranging from "Night Mail,"- a. British G.P.0., production, to "Nutrition," with its commentary by Professor Julian Huxley. At the conclusion of the screening the guests were entertained by the High Commissioner at supper, his niece, Miss Isobel Biggar, acting as hostess". Among those present "were Mrs. Peter Fraser, Mr. and ' Mrs. A. R. McElwain, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Fenton, Mr.' and Mrs. Gordon Mirams, Mr. and Mrs. McQueen, . Professor James Shelley, Mr. C. G. Scrimgeour, Mr. N. T. Lambourne, Dr. C. E. Beeby, Mr. J. J. S. Comes, Mr. D. Fouhy, and Mr. Boyd Shannon.
