WESLEY DEFEATED
Playins, on the whole, a much more spirited game Ulan their opponents, Karori I registered a very decisive victory over Wesley at Karori Park. The first few minutes of play were clull, but M. Browne got away on his own with the ball, took it down to the Wesley circle, and shot for goal. Dray cleared with a good kick. Karori maintained the attack, and Browne was partly responsible for the first coal, centring well for C. Edwards to score. On the attack again, Karori were driven back for a while, but Shaw sent the ball down near the Wesley circle, and Jenkins netted with a hljrh shot. Wesley took the initiative for a time, and- Hurren. scored. Browne added another for Karori just before half-time. From a penalty bully Moloney scored Wesley s second goal shortly after half-time, but this was soon offset by Edwards, who netted with a flue drive shot Roberts netted two more in quick succession for Karori, and althouph Wesley rallied towards the end. the game finished with the score Karori T 6, Wesley 2. The umpires were Messrs. H. Hatch ami n. Kelly.
