TECHNICAL V. HUIA

Technical and Hula played a fast, open game at Karori,- and although the result was 1-all; on the run of the play both sides were unlucky in not scoring again. The Technical forward line performed well, and their rushes tipfleld were smartly controlled. In the first spell Huia had slightly the better of play territorially, but they found it difficult to do much in the circle owing to the sound defence of the Technical backs. Campbell, a promoted player who was playing on the right wing for Huia;, showed that he has plenty of dash, and the goal he scored in the first spell was the result of smart play. Prominent in the Technical forwards was> Garbett, who produced some neat stickwork. He scored Technicals goal from a penalty bully. The umpires were Messrs. H.. F. Bollard and W. Keys.
