Cole, who rode Lithgow to victory in the Corinthian Cup at Rosehill a fortnight ago, began riding tn amateur races at the age of 15 years, and he hafc secured wins In various parts of New South Wales. He is an engineer by profession, and is employed by the B.H.P. at Newcastle. He keeps fit by regularly attending the training tracks and riding track gallops for R. L. Cashman, trainer of Mestoravon, Red Thespian, and other horses.
