Stewed Ox Tongue and Raisin Sauce. 'Frisco Beans, Cabbage, Potatoes Steamed. Golden Rhubarb Cream Tart.

'Frisco Beans.—Wash and soak 1J cups haricot beans overnight in cold water to cover. Cook until soft, then drain. Fry some bacon, remove from pan and in same pan cook two onions, sliced, until brown. Add bacon slices to beans and place alternate layers of cooked onion and drained beans and bacon in casserole, sprinkling each with salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 cup of milk, cover and bake about half an hour. Uncover for the last ten minutes.

Golden Rhubarb Cream Tart. —3«: ups rhubarb, diced,, £ cup, watery JL cup : .

sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, 2 egg yolks, 1-3 cup orange juice, 2 tablespoons butter, grated rind one orange, baked tart shell.

Stew rhubarb with water in a covered pan over a low flame until rhubarb is tender. Add sugar sifted with flour and cook uncovered ten minutes, stirring continually. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and cook one minute longer. Remove from flame and add orange juice and rind and butter. When cold, turn into a baked pastry shell, cover with a meringue and place in a slow oven for.twenty minutes.
