TIN HAT CLUB
An attendance of about fifty members enjoyed quoits, darts, and other indoor pastimes at the Tin Hat Club's games night, .held in the Returned Soldiers' Association's rooms, Victoria Street, last night. After the loyal toast had been honoured all present entered into the various games with great enthusiasm and adequate justice was done to a generous supper served later in the evening. To ensure that everyone had a turn at all the games, members were divided into "schools," which went from game to game in rotation. To decide the prize-winners, a record was kept of' the most successful exponents of each game. In between games members had on opportunity of experimenting with an antique gramophone of the cylinder record type. . Concluding the evening, Lieutenants Colonel A. Cowles, president of the Wellington R.S.A.. distributed packets of cigarettes to the prize-winners. First prize went to Major Lai^pen and other prize-winners were Messrs. H. McClure Morgan Davies, L. Hill, N. Kenvig A Cooper, D. Alabaster, Burbidge, Ballinger, and Clark. '
