A "joy night" with an attendance of over 200 dancers was held by the Returned Soldiers' Association in the clubrooms at Lower Hutt last night as the concluding function of the season. This was a very popular attraction. The stalls and stallholders were as follows: —Christmas stall, Mrs. J. Thompson Macky, Mrs. M. Macaskill; utility stall, Mesdames R. R. Orr and C. Edmeades; produce, Mesdames Pilkington and Christie; cakes, Mesdames B. Whitcher, L. J. Evans, and C. E. Robertson. In the tearoom, where Iceland poppies and crimson roses with maidenhair fern made dainty decorations, were Mesdames A. Batchelor, G. Prendeville, B. Adam, M. Rowan, and R. G. McJnnis. The "Lady with the Hundred Pockets'' was Mrs. J. Blair, who was assisted by Mrs. Harold Webley.
