HUTT DEBATING SEASON CLOSES
In accordance with a pleasant custom,, the Hutt Debating Society's * 1938 season closed with a social function. This year the final night took the form of a social evening held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Fisher, Hautana Street, Lower Hutt, the. members of the club and friends being guests of Mr. Fisher, president for the year just concluded.
Musical items were contributed by Mrs. H. Phillips, Mrs. A. J. Webster, and Mr. E. T. Giddens. Mrs. R. Wells played the accompaniments and Mr.« J. R. Scott gave a recitation. An enjoyable variety of games and competitions added considerably to the success of a most fitting climax to a satisfactory season.
